# Remove a user

Available to roles: <Badge color="blue">Owner</Badge>

Remove users from your merchant account when they no longer need access to the merchant dashboard. This page explains how to remove an existing user and what to do when you need to remove or disable an **Owner** user.

### Can I remove a user with the Owner role?

Only our Support team can remove users with the **Owner** role. To remove a user with the **Owner** role, contact our Support team.

### Can I deactivate a user's account without deleting it?

To temporarily restrict a user's access to the merchant dashboard without deleting their account, contact our Support team and request to disable the user's account.
